LAB Middle School is a college-ready culture.
Brooklyn LAB Middle School fosters a college-ready culture that blends academic rigor with social-emotional learning. Every scholar is prepared for the demands and opportunities of high school and college, including exposure to collaborative research projects and planning for our high school's Advanced Placement program.
Brooklyn LAB scholars are required to show what they know each and every day, and teachers keep a careful watch on individual student learning. Teachers work to form personal relationships with students to provide stability, gain a better understanding of how to serve their scholars’ needs, and ensure scholars feel understood and heard.
Every scholar at Brooklyn LAB has a personal success coach who fosters and maintains high expectations and employs strength-based and culturally relevant approaches to support scholars.

The after-school program is open to all Brooklyn Lab Middle School scholars free of charge and offers a wide variety of opportunities for scholars to extend their school-day learning with experiential learning opportunities within and outside the walls of the school.
Offerings have included everything from African Dance to structural engineering and everything in between. Scholars must be registered to participate.
